ANKARA (AA) - British actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke pleaded not guilty Wednesday to six sexual offense charges, including two counts of sexual assault.
Clarke, 50, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London, where he also denied three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure.
The charges concern alleged offenses against five women between 2007 and 2016, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Clarke spoke to confirm his identity and enter his pleas before being granted bail. He is due to appear at Southwark Crown Court on Nov. 18.
The actor, who is from west London, became widely known for playing Mickey Smith in the BBC science-fiction series Doctor Who. He also wrote and starred in the 2006 film Kidulthood and worked as an actor, writer, producer and director on several other projects.
The proceedings remain active, and Clarke has the right to a fair trial.
