ISTANBUL (AA) - Armed groups launched explosive-laden drones at internal security posts in Syria’s southern Suwayda province late Tuesday, Syrian media reported.
Alikhbaria TV, citing a security source, said groups described as “outlaws” targeted security positions in the province’s western countryside.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, and the Syrian Interior Ministry had yet to comment.
On Oct. 2, armed groups opened fire on security posts and homes in the Mazraa area of western Suwayda, according to Alikhbaria TV.
The incident followed attacks on Aug. 31 that left four security personnel wounded as they confronted armed groups in the same area, according to Syrian authorities.
