Chinese military holds talks with German, French counterparts

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Chinese military held a week-long series of strategic talks with its German and French counterparts that began last Wednesday, the Chinese Defense Ministry said in a statement.

A strategic consultation delegation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) visited France and Germany, where Chinese officials discussed relations, the international and regional security situation, and other issues of mutual concern.

"All parties agreed to continue strengthening strategic communication, enhancing mutual understanding and trust, and expanding exchanges and cooperation in the defense field," it said.
