Empty shelves in supermarkets due to transport workers' strike in Naples
NAPLES, ITALY - OCTOBER 20: Half-empty shelves are seen inside a supermarket in Naples, Italy on October 20, 2026. Due to the truckers' strike in southern Italy, who have been protesting since October 16, 2026 against rising fuel prices (which have reached nearly 2.30 euros per liter) many supermarkets are finding their food shelves empty.
