Anti-ICE protesters block Brooklyn Bridge entrances in Manhattan as police make arrests

NEW YORK, US - OCT. 28, 2026: Anti-ICE protesters blocked all entrances to the Brooklyn Bridge on the Manhattan side on Wednesday during a demonstration against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), its detention policies and the shooting of Oscar Belgal.

Demonstrators chanted “Free Oscar Belgal!” and held large banners reading “Stop shooting us” and “Stop shooting our neighbors” as the protest disrupted traffic and caused congestion in the surrounding area.

Police made multiple arrests as officers moved to clear the entrances.
