Climate activists protest against fossil fuels in Jakarta

JAKARTA, INDONESIA - OCT. 30, 2026: Climate activists held a protest in Jakarta on Friday, Oct. 30, criticizing dependence on fossil fuels, environmental destruction and corporate influence over climate policies.

The protesters called on the government to ensure climate justice and protect communities affected by the worsening climate crisis.

They also demanded the revocation of operating permits for companies accused of harming the environment.
