Turkish President Erdogan meets with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy in Istanbul

ISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE - OCT. 31, 2026: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan welcomed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with an official ceremony at the Dolmabahce Presidential Office in Istanbul on Saturday, Oct. 31, as Zelenskyy visited Türkiye for talks.

Zelenskyy said Black Sea shipping and diplomatic prospects would be among the issues discussed with Erdogan.

He added that Ukraine was working to strengthen the protection of its people and its bilateral partnership with Türkiye.

During his visit, Zelenskyy is also scheduled to meet Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
