Zelenskyy arrives in Istanbul for talks with Erdogan

ISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE - OCT. 31, 2026: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Istanbul on Saturday, Oct. 31, for talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, saying Black Sea shipping and diplomatic prospects would be among the issues discussed.

Zelenskyy said Ukraine was also working to strengthen the protection of its people and its bilateral partnership with Türkiye. He is also scheduled to meet Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew during his visit.
