Dutch consul general and wife raise future seeing-eye dog in Istanbul
ISTANBUL, TURKIYE - OCTOBER 21: Dutch Consul General in Istanbul Daan Huisinga (R) and his wife Anne Huisinga-Paret (L) voluntarily care for and train Mayis, a Labrador retriever, at the Dutch Consulate General in Istanbul, Turkiye, on October 21, 2026. The couple are raising the dog for approximately one year, using training techniques taught by an instructor who visits them every two weeks, to prepare Mayis to become a guide dog for a visually impaired person in the future.
