Catrinas parade through Salvadoran town ahead of Dia de Muertos

CONCEPCION DE ATACO, EL SALVADOR - OCT. 31: Participants dressed as Catrinas paraded on decorated floats through Concepcion de Ataco, El Salvador, on Saturday, Oct. 31, as residents and tourists celebrated the “Night of the Catrinas” festival ahead of the Day of the Dead.

Dancers in skull makeup performed ahead of the procession, accompanied by a marching band.

Locals and visitors wore Catrina costumes, skull makeup and other disguises, while altars were set up for the celebrations.
