CARACAS, VENEZUELA - OCT. 21: Venezuela's government and opposition concluded the third round of national dialogue talks in Caracas on Wednesday (Oct. 21), reaching agreements on political disqualifications and other measures aimed at strengthening democratic guarantees.
Delegations representing the government and the National Assembly elected in 2015 agreed to review political disqualifications and establish a joint commission to seek the recovery of Venezuelan gold held at the Bank of England.
Dignora Figueroa, president of the 2015 National Assembly, expressed hope that elections would take place soon, saying the dialogue was based on mutual recognition, democratic strengthening and reconciliation.
Jorge Rodríguez, president of Venezuela's National Assembly, said both delegations would monitor the implementation of the agreements and submit timely progress reports.
