GENEVA (AA) - A Spanish judge on Tuesday gave the government 15 days to declassify intelligence reports on mass migrant arrivals in Ceuta in July, including assessments of Moroccan authorities' actions, local media reported.
National Court Judge Maria Tardon formally requested that the Council of Ministers release the documents within the specified period, according to Spanish news agency EFE.
The judicial order seeks "all notes and reports made by the (National Intelligence Center) CNI and disseminated to authorities from July 30, 2026 onwards relating to the investigations into the events that occurred on July 30 and 31, 2026."
The request specifically includes intelligence relating "to the actions of the Moroccan authorities to date."
Around 72,000 people crossed irregularly from Morocco into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on July 30-31, according to estimates from Spain's central government.
