ISTANBUL (AA) - Ukraine and Moldova signed a military-technical cooperation agreement Monday to facilitate the exchange of expertise, Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi said, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
Speaking at a joint briefing with Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan in Kyiv, Koretskyi said Ukraine had also proposed expanding cooperation with Moldova through the Demining Coalition.
He said the countries’ coordinated integration into the European Union would strengthen regional security and boost economic ties, trade and transport links.
Tofan said Moldova could not ignore Ukraine’s experience in security, particularly its use of technological solutions to defend against drones.
“We want to learn from this experience and find solutions to protect our airspace,” he said.
